La sangre, el polvo, la nieve
Karina Pacheco Medrano
NOVEL | 2010/2021 | 120 pages
A drama that is simultaneously intimate and totalizing that, with cruel strokes, reveals the mechanisms of oppression and inclusion over which our traditional social systems were settled.
Cusco, 1945. After many years, the city wakes up white, frozen, and with an ominous buzz. In the heights of Sacsahuamán, a pastor has found the cadavers of four young men, their blood has stained the snow.
Cusco, 1950. The earthquake has ravaged the city. Behind the dust, the footsteps of that crime and others emerge in a succession that dates back three generations, to the roots of a powerful family.
Published originally in 2010, Karina Pacheco’s third novel is charged with symbolic, polyvalent elements and sends us to a time of crucial social and political changes and effervescent cultural life in Cusco during the first half of the 20th century.
