Ezequiel Zaidenwerg-Dib
Ezequiel Zaidenwerg-Dib was born in Buenos Aires in 1981. He writes, translates, teaches, and takes photographs. His most recent books are 50 estados: 13 poetas contemporáneos de Estados Unidos, a novelized anthology of poetry from the United States, and El camino, his modern versions of the Tao Te Ching.
He has translated Mark Strand, Ben Lerner, Anne Carson, Weldon Kees, Robin Myers, Joseph Brodsky, Mary Ruefle, João Cabral de Melo Neto, Logan February, Heather Christle, Denise Levertov, Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Brenda Hillman, Kay Ryan, and Emily Dickinson, among others. He compiled and wrote the prologue for the Argentine poetry anthology Penúltimos (UNAM, 2014). He sends daily translated poems via his email newsletter El poema de hoy. He is a founding member of the collective “Como un lugar,” a public culture collective, and lives in Brooklyn.
