Carolina Andújar

Carolina Andújar is an internationally published Colombian-Hungarian author who has been called “Dracula’s heir” (El Espectador, 2009) following the publication of her debut novel Vampyr. After the novel’s initial publication, she became one of Colombia’s bestselling authors in 2009. After selling over 25,000 copies in the first year, the publication of the sequel Vajda, príncipe inmortal earned her the title of “cult author and unprecedented literary phenomenon” (Caracol Radio, 2012). Andújar was Penguin Random House’s bestselling author alongside John Green during the 2014 Bogotá Book Fair, which is considered to have broken sales records. The Carmina Nocturna series that started with Vampyr includes Vajda, Pie de bruja, and La familia maldita, and she has also published the books El despertar de la sirena, La princesa y el mago sombrío, and the thriller C.A.L.I.
